Dana J. Beck, age 45, of Amarillo passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Memorial Services will be Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in Messiah Lutheran Church with Kent Schnegelberger officiating. Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coullter, Amarillo, Texas.
Dana J. Beck was born on August 26, 1968 to Allan and Norma Oleson in Longmont, CO. She graduated from Longmont High School and then attended Northern Colorado University in Greeley, CO and Concordia Lutheran in Seward, NE. where she earned a degree in Music. Dana married Rick Beck on November 7, 1998 in Salina, KS. Dana was the Director of Christian Education for various Lutheran Churches. Dana was in instructional aide with AISD at South Georgia, Tradewinds and Carver Academy campuses. She was an avid sports fan and loved watching her daughters play soccer for HPD 02 Girls and the Goal Diggers. She was a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues and the Denver Broncos.
She is survived by her husband Rick, 2 daughters Mia Joy and Faith Elise; her parents Allan and Norma Oleson of Westminister, CO; her mother-in-law, Barbara Beck of Lubbock; her father-in-law J.O. Beck of Amarillo; 1 brother Scott Oleson and wife Anna of Westminister, CO and 5 neices and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Rick Beck Family, 7550 Hillside Rd, Apt 2216, Amarillo, Texas 79119.
