Dan Edwin Bailey, 70, of Amarillo died Wednesday, July 10, 2013. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 83 N. Carolina St. in Amarillo with Brother Claude Crook officiating.

Dan was born May 17, 1943 to Winifred Odis Bailey and Vera Nichols in Amarillo. He married Suzanne Hamilton on August 25, 1963. Dan was a carpenter and in the construction business all of his life. His greatest joy was his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Suzanne, his parents, Odis Bailey and Vera Nichols Bailey, and one son, Ricky Glenn Provence, a sister, Hattie and a brother, Floyd.
Survivors include one daughter, Renay Provence and one son, Bryan Hamilton Bailey of Amarillo; grandchildren Cristin, Colby, Cassi, Chance, Bobby, Paige and Tammy; great-grandchildren Colton, Bryson, Chloe, Ricky and Ellie Mae and daughter-in-laws, Gina Dennis and Lisa Bailey all of Amarillo and brother-in-law, Duke Boling of Dallas. Dan also leaves siblings, Jim “Turtle” Bailey of California, Rhonda Goodson of Houston and Edmond Bailey of South Texas.
