Cynthia Lynn Sydor, 50, of Amarillo died Monday, January 13, 2014. Funeral services will be 10am Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Harvest Life Assembly of God, 1401 N. Apache, with Pastor Jerry Veazey officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors Martin Road Chapel 1501 Martin Road is in charge of arrangements.
Cindy was born on January 9, 1964 in Lawton Oklahoma unto Johnny Gene and Hattie Bell Workman Sydor. When Cindy was six weeks old she developed pneumonia and was taken to the hospital at the base in Lawton. The doctor told her mother Hattie that she should be put in a home and forgotten. Hattie said absolutely not that Cindy was a gift from God and she and her children would help raise her and give her the love she needed. Cindy started her schooling at age 2 and graduated from high school in 1985. Cindy loved the Lord, her family and friends. She belonged to Harvest Life Assembly of God and played the tambourine during worship services.
She was preceded in death by her sister Joyce and a niece Marcy. She is survived by her mother Hattie of the home, her brothers Roy Rosson of Missouri, Troy Rosson of Dallas, Stephen Rosson and Stanley Capes both of Alabama and a sister Janice Priest of Amarillo. Also a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9-7pm Friday at the funeral home
