Cordelia K. Tenny

Cordelia Keesee Tenny, 86, of Amarillo passed away on Friday, January 4, 2018. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 8. 2018 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Pastor Keith Ellis officiating. Private family burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, January 7, 2018 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel.

Cordelia Tenny was born on July 24, 1932 in Ballinger, TX to Clarence and Jessie Keesee. She was very active at the Clairmont community. Cordelia loved to dance and was a great snowman builder. She was an avid Folgers coffee drinker and loved to watch Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel. She was an excellent cook and everyone in the family always wanted Cordelia to make her famous stuffing. She was proud of her relationship with the Lord and she was loved by everyone especially her family and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, Elver Hilliard, Bud Ames and John Tenny; a daughter, Diane Shefield and her son, Felton Hilliard.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Boyston and Betty Ellis and husband Keith; her son, Kelly Hilliard and wife Barbara; ten grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
