Coleen Kindred

Coleen Kindred passed away on September 6, 2011 and her husband Carl preceded her in death on February 22, 2009.

A double memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2011 at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Home Coulter Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter Road, Amarillo, TX with Rev. Ken Haney officiating.  Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors.

Coleen was born September 30, 1930 in Childress to William and Jessie Kent.  She was a very hard worker. She raised her grandson Chris.  She was very selfless and loved helping other people.  Coleen was a very godly woman.  She loved selling Stanley products.  Carl and Coleen will be dearly missed by all that loved them.

Carl was born on December 2, 1925 in Gracemont, OK to Carl and Ruby Kindred.  He served in the Army Infantry in WWII in Europe. Carl married Coleen Kent August 22, 1959 in Muleshoe. He retired from the US Postal Service.  Carl was a huge boxing fan and Dallas Cowboy fan.  He was a very talented artist and wood carver.  He loved antique guns and was an excellent marksman.

They are preceded in death by their parents.

Their survivors include their sons; James Jasmin of Roswell, NM and Steven Kindred of  Amarillo
and a daughter, Teri Browder of Slaton;  Four Grandchildren, Chris Kindred of Amarillo, Jared Riley of Dallas, Stevie Jasmin and Cindy Jasmin, both of Crystal Beach;  Two Great-Grandchildren, Savannah Foster and Dakota Veale;  Her Brother, Gary Crouch of Possum Kingdom; His Sisters, Fern Leonard of Amarillo and Sue Egolf of Madison, OH; and his Brother, Wayne Kindred of Amarillo.
