Cleta Lavern Nite

Cleta Lavern Nite, 87, of Amarillo, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 in Amarillo.  She was born on October 13, 1933 in Giles, TX to the late Demos Childress and Mattie Ogletree Childress.  In 1956 she married John Nite in Juarez, Mexico.  He preceded her in death in 2000.  Cleta enjoyed playing in several bridge clubs and going gambling.

She is survived by two sons, Kelly Nite of Port Arthur, TX and Greg Nite and wife Jami of Claude; one daughter, Pam Fletcher and husband Carlton of Amarillo; grandchildren, Greg Fletcher, Bryan Fletcher, Calvin Nite and John Austin Nite; great grandchildren, Dylan Fletcher, Taegan Fletcher, Gracelynn Nite, Caleb Nite, Maddox Nite, Caroline Nite, Oakley Fletcher and Kelton Fletcher.

Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Calvin Nite officiating.
