Christopher Ernest Broyles, 59, of Amarillo passed away on January 27, 2014 in Mineral Wells, TX.
Funeral services will be at 2pm Friday, January 31, 2014 at the La Grone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Home, Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter Road with The Rev. Steve Swint of Calvary Pentecostal officiating. LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors of Amarillo are in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery East.
Christopher was born on December 10, 1954 in Sacramento California unto Robert and Elberta Kroffman Broyles. He worked at the Clements Unit here in Amarillo as a guard. He was very involved in children’s sports and loved to tell jokes. He was a great writer of poetry.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Laura of the home. Two daughters Holly and Venessa of Amarillo, his Mother, three sisters. Shirley Diem and her husband Tony of Cross Plains, Indiana, Brenda Hummel and her husband Jeff of Wyoming, Mary Dimple and two Nieces Tiffiany and Erin.
The family will receive friends from 5-7pm today at the funeral home.
