Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday Oct. 13, 2012 at Hillside-Amarillo South Church with Mark Urquhart, Pastor of First Christian Church in Panhandle officiating.
Christian was born January 9, 1998 in Amarillo. He was a freshman at Tascosa High School where he excelled in athletics. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and family. He spent his spare time skateboarding and always looked forward to spending summers at the lake. His encouraging attitude and smile were a gift to those around him. He was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church and his favorite color was purple. Christian was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his two grandfathers, John “Poppy” Vaughn and Arthur Garza.
Survivors include his mother, and step-father Shannon and Kelly Schmidt; his father and step-mother Eddie and Olivia Garza; his brothers, Scott Rutledge, Dylan Garza, Blake Kleman, Dakotah Petty, Dillon Petty and Logan Petty; his sisters; Kalise Schmidt and Baylee Kleman, his grandparents, Brenda Vaughn, Elvia Ortiz and Merten and Jodie Schmidt. He is also survived by many loving friends and relatives.
