Christi Lynn Callen, 54, of Amarillo died on Thursday, April 28, 2016. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 7, 2016 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Arrangements by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter Street.
Christi was born on February 27, 1962 in Amarillo, Texas to Myrle and Dee Davis. She grew up in Amarillo where she graduated from River Road High School in 1980. Christi married David Lynn Callen on January 12, 1984. She worked at the Veterans Hospital in the Human Resources Department until her health forced her to retire early. She enjoyed playing softball, going to her daughter's volleyball games and tournaments attending her son's athletic events and racing. Christi will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her sister Lisa Gaye Davis.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, David Callen; a son and daughter in law, Ryne David and Mollie Beth Callen; a daughter, Ashlea Lynn Callen; a grandson, Kaige Russell Waldrop; her parents, Myrle and Dee Davis; sister and brother in law, Joely M. and Rusty S. Sullivan.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to Kid's Club c/o Paramount Baptist Church 3801 S Western St., Amarillo, TX 79109.
