Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Westcliff Bible Church with Dr. Steven Waterhouse officiating.  Burial with  Military honors will follow at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 Coulter Road.

Charles Edward Frost was born on July 12, 1926 in Lake Creek, Ok. to Eugene and Lula Frost.  He graduated from Amarillo High in 1944 and married Dorothy Mason on June 12th of that same year in Bernalillo, NM. Charles then joined the US Army Air Corps and proudly served his country during WW II as a B17 Bomber top turret gunner. In 1955, Charles opened Frost Air Conditioning and Heating and the company is still in business to this day. He loved camping and spending time with his family. Charles was a good husband, father and best friend to his wife of 72 years. He was a longtime member of Westcliff Bible Church. The values of honor, courage, commitment, and discipline were principles by which Charles lived his life.  These principles have been passed on to his children and grand-children.  Special thanks to Tina Eubanks RN, Shane and the nurses in NWTH Rehab and the Amarillo Hospice of the Plains and Dr. Charles Todd.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.

Charles is survived by his wife, Dorothy of the home; three daughters, Jan Frost Douglass, Dyvonna Frost Melson and husband, Sam and Tammie Frost Newton and husband, Kevin, all of Amarillo; grandkids, Carmen Lucero, Carey Spence, Joshua Newton and Jennifer Turman and Jesse Melson and 12 great-grandkids.


In lieu of flowers please send memorials to Hidden Falls Ranch or Texas Panhandle Pet Savers.

The family will accept guests and friends Friday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
