Charlene was born on May 22, 1969 to Carlos and Juanita Mares in El Paso, TX. She married Leroy Apodaca in 1989 in Las Vegas, NV. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved to fish. She was an excellent mother, reading to her children frequently. Her children were very a very important part of her life.
SURVIVORS: Survivors left to cherish her memories are her husband, Leroy Apodaca of Amarillo; her 2 sons, William and Anthony Apodaca; her parents, Carlos Mares and Teresa Apodaca of Grant, NM; brother, Patrick Ramos and wife Melissa of Amarillo; 3 sisters, Eileen Mares of Albuquerque, NM, Linda Diaz of Grant, NM and Carleen Cross of the Houston area; 5 brother-in-laws, Richard Apodaca and wife Josie of Tucumcari, NM, Robert Apodaca and wife Yvonne of Amarillo, Ramon Apodaca of Amarillo, Steve Apodaca and wife Sonya of Amarillo and Frank Apodaca, Jr. and wife Enola of Amarillo; her sister-in-law, Joann Calbert and husband Michael of Clovis, NM; numerous nieces and nephews.
