Chanhome Madsourivong, 75, of Amarillo passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2020. Prayer services will be at 5:00 pm, Thursday, January 30, 2020 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm, Friday, January 31, 2020 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel.
Chanhome was born on August 8, 1944 in Savannakhet, Laos to Bounmy and Sounut Srilasack. She studied to be a teacher. She married Temma Madsourivong in June of 1964. They moved to Amarillo where she worked in environmental services at Northwest Texas Hospital and West Texas A&M University. Her greatest love was spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking and watching Thai and Laos shows. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and her husband.
She is survived by her seven children, Tia McFarland, Paula Nguyen, Douangmala Le, Julie Santi, Kathy Madsourivong Pakdaman, Samm Madsourivong and Scott Madsourivong; two brothers and three sisters; eighteen grandchildren, along with many loving family and friends.
