Casiano "Casey" Martinez Jr., 83, of Borger died on Thursday, May 7, 2015. Rosary will be said at 6:00 pm, Sunday, May 10, 2015 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Private family burial will be held in Llano Cemetery. Memorial Mass will be at 11:00 am, Monday, May 11, 2015 at St John's Catholic Church in Borger with Father Jose Ricardo Zanetti as Celebrant.
Casey was born on April 21, 1932 in Anton Chico, NM to Casiano and Vicenta Martinez. He married the love of his life Edwina on August 3, 1951 in Clovis. He worked for Southern Union Gas Company as a C&M Foreman for 43 years until he retired. Casey was an active parishioner at St. John's Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer and Dallas Cowboy fan who loved to dance and travel. He had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger, but most of all he was a great husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who cherished his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Edwina and a sister.
He is survived by two daughters, Diana Springfield and husband Michael of Denver and Lilly Totty and husband Kevin of Amarillo; four sons, Anthony Martinez and wife Trinidad of Henderson, NV, Daniel Martinez and wife Elvia of Amarillo, Ray Martinez and wife Loretta of Amarillo and Joseph Sena and wife Yolanda of San Angelo; a sister, Mary Esquibel of Clovis; two brothers, Benito Martinez and wife Adela of Temple and Pete Martinez and wife Aneda of Los Lunas, NM; twenty grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
