Caroline Sue Snider, age 76, of Amarillo passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014. Her family will be receiving friends on Monday, September 1, 2014 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw, Coulter Road Chapel from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 10:00 am at Hollywood Road Community Church with Dr. Charles Jones, pastor officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Sue was born in Hobart, OK to Louis Victor and Edythe Evelyn (Eberhart) Cole on January 16, 1938. She came to Amarillo in 1964 residing there for over 50 years. Sue finished her education at WTSU obtaining her Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a double major in Accounting and Finance then worked as Comptroller for an Oil and Gas concern until her retirement. She married Robert "Bob" Snider August 11, 1984 in Amarillo. Bob preceded her in death October 23, 2012.
Sue is survived by her brother, Victor and wife Gail of Sarasota FL, three sons, Kent and wife Mabel Smith of Parker, TX, Kirk Smith of Apache Junction, AZ, and Tony Snider of Houston as well as three daughters, Susan and husband Gary Sisemore, Connie Snider, Debbie and husband Kyle Willingham all of Amarillo. She was a devoted Grandmother to eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
The family requests that any gifts be contributed to The Hollywood Road Community Church, Amarillo, TX.
