Carole Ann Crawford

April 20, 1941 — February 12, 2012

Funeral Service will be at 2:30 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with rev. Jim Fox, Chaplain of Accolade Hospice officiating.  Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Crawford was born April 20, 1941 in Cooper, Texas to Wallace and Avis Thompson.  She grew up in Amarillo and was a member of the first graduating class at Tascosa, High School in 1959.  She attended both Frank Phillips College and Amarillo College and went on to earn her nursing degree from West Texas State University.  Carole worked for many years as a RN for both Saint Anthony’s and BSA.  Carole specialized in Psychiatric Nursing. She was later House Supervisor at Ware Memorial.  At the time of her passing, she owned and operated Uniforms Plus in Amarillo.  She was a long time member of San Jacinto Methodist Church.  She married Jimmy Crawford Nov. 12, 1981.  Carole loved people and had a great sense of humor.  She always had a good joke to share.  She had a photographic memory and was extremely knowledgeable about History & Geography.  She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother and loved her family dearly.  Carole loved spending time with her family and loved taking her grandchildren on special trips.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her Husband, Jimmy; Daughter Kimberly Williams and husband Danny of Bushland; her sister, Sharon Harris and husband Gary of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Michael, Ethan, Lindsey and Garrett; two great-grandchildren, Cannon and Lylah; a nephew, Brent Lane and wife Shannon, three great nieces, Jayme, Whitney and Emily, two step-daughters, Kay Patterson and husband Joey and Carol Russell, six  step-grandchildren, Elliot, Morgan, Hanna, Cole, Jason and Jaime, and her special friends, Daniel and Norma Chacon.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Odyssey Hospice Care for their love and compassion.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday evening, Feb. 14, 2012 at the funeral home, 8310 S. Coulter.
