Carmen Jesse DeLeon Jr., 53, of Amarillo passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Holy rosary will be said at 6:00 pm, Thursday, October 26, 2017 in LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S Coulter Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Friday, October 27, 2017 in St. Laurence Catholic Church Father Nick Gerber as Celebrant. Arrangements are under the person care of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S Coulter Road.
Carmen was born on November 26, 1963 in Hereford, Texas to Carmen Jesse and Linda DeLeon. He attended Travis Middle School and Palo Duro High School. Carmen enjoyed fishing and listening to the Rolling Stones, one of his favorite rock bands. He was a catholic.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
He is survived by his mother, Linda; three brothers, Freddie DeLeon and wife Martha, Tony DeLeon, and Sammy DeLeon; a sister, Norma Chavez and husband, Jeremy; several special nephews and nieces, Marcus DeLeon, Michael DeLeon, Malakai Milan, Saizlee Milan, Emiya DeLeon and Sebastian DeLeon and numerous other nephews and nieces not listed.
The family would like to thank the staff at BSA Hospital and Compass Home Health for their loving care during Carmen's illness.
The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
