Carmen Sanchez DeLeon

“Chuy” was born on May 17, 1940 in San Angelo, TX to Jose and Petra DeLeon. On November 22, 1963, Chuy married Evangelina Linda Rodriguez. Chuy and Evangelina attended both Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and St. Martin de Porres. Some of Chuy’s loves were working on old cars, listening to oldies music and watching football. He also had a love for watching old cowboy movies and TV shows, especially Bonanza.
Survivors include his wife, Evangelina DeLeon; four sons, Jesse DeLeon, Freddie DeLeon and wife Martha, Tony DeLeon, and Sammy DeLeon all of Amarillo; a daughter, Norma DeLeon-Milan and husband Edgar of Amarillo; two brothers, Juan DeLeon of Albuquerque, NM and Henry DeLeon of Ranger, TX; three sisters, Angelita Vasquez and Maria Ramirez both of Amarillo, and Trine Longoria of Sweetwater, TX; 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
