Carmela M. Frost, 100, of Amarillo died on Monday, January 11, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Memory Gardens Cemetery with Jim Fox, officiating. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel. Arrangements by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road.
Carmela was born on February 10, 1915 in Leetsdale, Pennsylvania to Jack and Anna Montanile. She married Willie Alvin Frost on September 15, 1951 in Eau Gallie, Florida, and they moved to Amarillo in 1964. Carmela worked as a waitress at the Holiday Inn for 32 years before retiring 1997. She attended St. Laurence Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Anna Montanile, her husband, Willie Frost, sisters, Adeline Davis, Betty Milano and Josie Montanile, and 3 infants.
She is survived by her children, Frances Halverson, Barbara Thomas and her husband, Robert, Billy Frost and his wife, Vanessa, and Michael Frost; brothers, Jackie Montanile, Victor Montanile, and Angelo Montanile; a sister, Ann Shaw; 7 grand children, 11 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
