Carlos Tarin Malodonado, 55, of Amarillo died on Thursday, July 9, 2015. A rosary service will be held at 6:30 pm, Sunday, July 12, 2015 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road with Deacon Pablo Morales, officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, July 13, 2015 at St. Laurence Catholic Church with Father Gerardo Uribe as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.
Carlos was born on April 10, 1959 in Lubbock, Texas to Raul and Manuela Tarin Maldonado. He graduated from Plainview High School, Plainview, Texas in 1978. Carlos married Alma Delia Deluna on April 12, 1980. He worked for Clements Unit as a correctional officer. Carlos was a member of St. Laurence Catholic Church. He enjoyed riding his horses that he raised, and in his spare time he enjoyed playing pool.
Mr. Maldonado was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife, Alma Maldonado; his mother, Manuela Maldonado; two sons, Carlos Maldonado Jr. and Eliseo Maldonado; a grandson, Kaiden Maldonado; a granddaughter, Jasmin Maldonado; brothers, Jessie Maldonado and Raul Maldonado Jr.; sisters, Diana Magana, and Josie Garcia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
