Carl Lee Crumley

On Thursday, March 24, 2022, Carl Lee Crumley of Amarillo TX, passed away from covid virus complications at the age of 68.

He was born May 10, 1953, in Paris, Texas, to Roy and Martha (Coker) Crumley. The family returned to Amarillo in 1954, residing in Forest Hill Subdivision and then in 1959 in Pleasant Valley Subdivision. He was an Eagle Scout, competed in chess & high school tennis, and graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1971.  He loved guitar playing and singing and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Amarillo.  He attended Texas A&M in College Station, Texas before attending West Texas State University in Canyon Texas, and working at Palo Duro State Park. He served in the Maintenance Department of Potter County Court House from 1978 to 2021.

Carl was very sweet and always had positive things to say to encourage all. He was a hard worker and had a lot of integrity, in his business and social dealings. He was very spiritual and his smile was very contagious.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by two nephews, Quinton Bull and Jared Bull, both of Amarillo.

Carl is survived by his brother Larry (Sharon) Crumley of Katy TX and by his sister Cristi (Douglas) Bull of Amarillo. Carl never married but is survived by his nephews Bradey and Brian Crumley of Katy TX and by his niece Casie Bull and niece-in-law Amanda Ornelas Bull (wife of Jared) both of Amarillo and by grand-niece-in-law Katelyn Ornelas and by grandnephews Micah and Lucas Bull, all of Amarillo.

Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday March 27, 2022 at LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road, Amarillo. The funeral Service will be 10:00 AM at the LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Martin Road Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Corky Holland of First Baptist Church. Serving as Pallbearers will be Doug Bull; Larry Crumley; Efrain Garcia; Brian Crumley and Dwayne Bull.
