Candis Wood Bradshaw, 74, of Amarillo passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, August 31, 2019. Memorial services will be at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Pastor Robert Brown officiating.
Candy was born on August 24, 1945 in Big Spring, TX to J.T. and Daisy Wood. She graduated from Amarillo High School and received her LVN license from Amarillo College. She married the love of her life, Jimmy Bradshaw on Friday, September 13, 1974 at Paramount Baptist Church. Candy and Jimmy moved to Gunnison, Colorado in 1986 and lived there until returning to Amarillo in 2006. Candy was very active in Middlepoint Community Fellowship and loved Jesus and spreading the gospel to everyone. She loved and cared for everyone she met and was truly loved by all. She doted on her family and grandchildren. Candy will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Danny Wood, and her nephew Adam Wood.
She is survived by her husband Jimmy; two daughters, Angie Shuttlesworth and husband Jason and Phuong Thi (Mary) Tran; four sons, Robert McDonald and wife Rachel, Luke Bradshaw, Jason Owen and wife Caryn, and Michael Herrington; seven grandchildren, Benjamin, Moriah, Trishia, Whitney, Amber, Troy, and Kayla.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to: Middlepoint Community Fellowship Food Pantry Ministry.
