Callie Alberta Bellamy

January 9, 1917 — April 21, 2012

Callie's funeral service will be at: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Comanche Trail Church of Christ with Loren Harper Minister of Comanche Trail Church of Christ and Jeff Messer Chaplain of Bivins Memorial Nursing Home officiating. Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Visitation will be Tuesday April 24, 2012 from 5-7pm at LaGrone-Blackburn Shaw Funeral Home Coulter Road Chapel


Callie Bellamy was born on January 9, 1917 in Wildorado unto Anne Birdie and Albert Griggs. She was raised and graduated from Wildorado Schools.  She moved to Amarillo and married Robert Lee Bellamy Jr.  To this marriage 7 children were born.  Helen Porter, Bob Bellamy and wife Jerry, Richard Bellamy, Frankie Womack and husband Leonard, Carol Card and husband David of Denver.  Matt Bellamy and wife Elizabeth of Lubbock, Roger Bellamy of Midland.  She retired from Amarillo Public Schools as cafeteria manager.  She was a member of Comanche Trails Church of Christ, where she was a Sunday school teacher for several years.  She loved all children.  She was an avid quilter for many years, sewing many beautiful quilts.  She was a member of Amarillo Senior Citizen.  Also of the quilt club at Bivins Memorial Nursing Home for several years.


She was preceeded in death by her husband, her parents, her siblings, two grandchildren and one son in law

Survivors include her children, fifteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Comanche Trail Church of Christ and High Plains Children’s Home both in Amarillo, TX.
