Brenda Kaye Nicholes, age 68, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors.
Brenda was born in Liberal, Kansas to Chester and Fern (Delano) Nicholes on July 22, 1945. She received her BA degree in 1967 in Biology/Chemistry from ? and her PhD. from University of Illinois Medical Center and served her Fellowship at University of Texas. She was appointed to the Medical Staff of metroHelath in 1989 in Cleveland, Ohio as the Head of Critical Care. She then became Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine with her specialty being Clinical Chemistry, Toxicology, Critical Care and Point of Care.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Charles Laverne Nicholes.
Brenda is survived by her three sisters Delores and Jim Breton of Amarillo, CHarlyse and Jim Oblander of Goodwell, Ok. and Meriem Nicholes of Amarillo and a special niece Rhonda Ford Moore and her husband Ronnie and a special Nephew Doug Ford both of Amarillo.
