Bonnie Jean Pendergrass Washer, 86, of Amarillo died Monday, June 9, 2014. Funeral services will be 10A.M. Friday, June 13, 2014 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Home, Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter Rd. with Sherman Eastland Chaplain of Odyssey Hospice officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors of Amarillo are in charge of arrangements.
Bonnie was born April 17, 1928 in Pocahontas, Arkansas. She married Melvin Washer October 9, 1952. Bonnie was retired from Northwest Texas Hospital and after retirement, she and Melvin spent many winters in the Rio Grande Valley. Bonnie loved quilting and shopping.
Preceded in death by her husband Melvin Washer and her mother Dona Hudgins.
She is survived by Steve and Denise Tennison of Carrollton, TX., Michael, Ann Marie, Hadley and Layton Tennison of McKinney, TX][., Lance, Haley and Abby Tennison of Allen, TX., Mike and Karen Joe Hansard of Amarillo and James, Mona and Jason Joe all of Amarillo and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 Thursday night at the funeral home.
