Bonnie Lue Blevins Robertson, 95, of Amarillo, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022 in Amarillo. She was born on November 28, 1926 in Quail, Texas to the late Clarence Blevins and Bertha E. Smith Blevins. She graduated from Quail High School in 1945 and was a member of the Quail State Basketball team.
Bonnie married Virgil Robertson November 20, 1950 in Clovis, NM, and he preceded her in death in 1985 after 35 years of beautiful marriage and family life. Bonnie was a member of the Central Church of Christ of Amarillo and worked as a waitress at County Barn Steakhouse for many years before retiring. Bonnie loved her flowers and crocheting.
She is survived by three sons, Mike Robertson and wife Becky of Amarillo, Jerry Robertson and wife Ginger of Quail, and Anthony Jonas and wife Arlena of San Antonio; one daughter, Bonnita Robertson of Amarillo; two sisters, Mae Patterson of Herford, and Jo Phillips of Altus, OK; 8 grandchildren; Brandon, Brian, Whitney, Tekie, Ashley, Ryan, Blake, and MaKailey, 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin, who passed away one day earlier, and sisters, Roberta, Morine, Johnnie and Iris.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, February 17, 2022 at LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Home, 1505 Martin Road, Amarillo, Texas. Out of respect to the Blevins families, a joint Graveside service will be held to honor both Bonnie and Marvin at 11:00 AM Friday, February 18, 2022 at the Quail Cemetery in Quail, Texas. The Family suggests that memorials be made to the Quail Community Center, 4165 FM 1547 Quail, TX 79251
