Bobby Don Sanders

Bobby Don Sanders, 70, of Amarillo passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Second Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne Griffith and Chaplain Rory Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 5:30 - 7:00 pm, Friday, October 18, 2019 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel.

Bobby was born on December 18, 1948 in Canyon, TX to Bobby and Jewell Sanders- Hefner. He graduated from Palo Duro High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married the love of his life, Beverly Woods in the front yard under the gazebo in July 1994. He worked as a salesman for the Patio Shop and was a great musician in the band Texas Tradition. Bobby loved to ride horses and build things out of metal. His family and grandchildren were his everything and he never missed a sporting event that they were participating in and he will be greatly missed by all of them.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry Sanders.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly; four daughters, Brandi Luman, Amanda Brown and husband Quentin, Amber Davis and husband JingleBob and Shena Stone; a son, Bobby Sanders and wife Stephanie; his special cousin, Mike Pierce and wife Sammie; his grandchildren, Tyler Brown and wife Kaylee, Brayden Brown, Sean Brown, Kaysha Stone, Jaelun Nelson, Jorden Nelson, Jaxsen Stone, Christian Davis, Caelyn Davis and six other grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to: Second Baptist Church or the Texas Panhandle War Memorial.
