Bobby Lee Nicholson, 68 of Amarillo died on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Entombment will follow at Memory Gardens with military honors by Volleys for Veterans. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S Coulter Road.
Bobby was born on May 8, 1947 in Sherman, Texas to Lee and Dorothy Nicholson. He graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1967. He worked for the City of Amarillo. He then joined the United States Air Force where he served in the Vietnam War until he was honorably discharged. Bobby worked for Rochester Armored Car Company as a security guard and driver for over ten years. He married Elizabeth Rose Nicholson on April 28, 1988 in Amarillo, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Rose.
He is survived by his sisters, Marsha Plexico and her husband, Al, and Irene Reyna and her husband, Philip, all of Amarillo; step sons, James Partin of Montgomery, Alabama and Curtis Carter, of Amarillo; step daughters, Marcia Carr, of Selma, Alabama, and Karen Partin of Marion, Alabama; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
