Billy Doyle Rich

Bill was born on January 20, 1930 to Clem and Irma Rich in Canyon, Texas. He moved to Plainview, TX as a child, where he graduated from high school. Bill enlisted in the United States Army in 1950, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged in 1953. He married Mamie Zybura in Plainview, Texas. She preceded him in death in 2009. He worked as a farmer in Castro County, growing corn and cotton. Bill was a member of the Lion’s Club for over 20 years and was a member of First United Methodist in Hart, TX.
Survivors include: 2 sons, Tracy Rich of Mineral Wells, TX and Derek Rich and his wife Linda of Las Vegas, NV; 2 sisters, Colleen Newman and her husband Don of Dimmitt, TX and Marilyn Edwards and her husband Tex of Plainview; 2 brothers, Kenneth Rich of Plainview and Jim Rich and his wife Betty of Hereford, TX and 3 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents and his wife, Mamie Rich in 2009.
