Mr. Billy Ralph Green, 75 of Amarillo passed away on June 23, 2011.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Chillicothe Cemetery in Chillicothe with Farrel Dean Bradshaw officiating. Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter Road, Amarillo, TX.
Billy was born Aug. 17, 1935, in Hachel to Homer Roy and Onita Fae Jones Green. He graduated from Crowell High School.
He married Carole J. Murphy on Oct. 13, 1956, in Oklahoma. Billy was the proud owner of Bill Green Lawn Service for more than 30 years.
He loved his Boston terrier bulldogs and was known for his gardening and his love of hot peppers. He made many friends at Georgia Manor Nursing Home during his short time there.
Billy’s family would like to thank the staff at Georgia Manor for their compassion shown to them.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Carole; a son, Ronny Green and wife Julie of Quanah; a daughter, Beverley Pugh and husband Tommy of Amarillo; two grandchildren, Shannon Holmes and husband Russell and Daniel Kelley. all of Amarillo; and two great-grandchildren, Justin and Sybil Holmes, both of Amarillo.
The family suggests memorials be to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 50433, Amarillo, TX 79159.
