Betty Lou (Johnson) Donaldson

Betty Lou Barrett Donaldson of Amarillo, Texas passed away on Sunday, August 14th.

Betty was born on February 14, 1930 in Amarillo, Texas to Lewis Johnson and Sarah Pickett Johnson. Betty’s first husband, Bonnie Barrett, was a strong Christian man, and the two spent over forty years together until his passing. She was remarried to Joe Donaldson, who was also a good, strong Christian man. They were together for over twenty years until his passing. Betty was a believer in Christ, and attended Arden Road Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed many hobbies, including different games and crossword puzzles, crocheting, and reading.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Julia Brown and husband Gary Brown, her son David Barrett and wife Lois Barrett (deceased). Other survivors include her grandchildren Jeff, Jason, Meredith, Rebekah, Andrew, and four great-grandchildren.

She also had three step-children, Laura Criss, Lisa Byrd, and Jeff Donaldson (deceased).

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Johnson and Sarah Pickett Johnson, husband Bonnie Barrett, husband Joe Donaldson, and two infant children, Jerry and Kay.
