Mrs. Betty J. Boyd passed away on April 20, 2011. Her services will be at10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Llano Cemetery Mausoleum with Rev. Dale Moreland officiating. Services are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Martin Road Chapel.
Betty was born on September 18, 1925 to John and Lettie Hickerson in Roby, TX. She attended schools in Belton, graduating as the Salutatorian from Belton High School. She married Clarence O. Boyd in 1950. He preceded her in death in 1978. She was a longtime member of The Church at Quail Creek. Betty was a kind, loving person who was a prayer warrior for all of her friends and family.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, her parents. her brother, Lytle Hickerson and her sister, Francis Moore.
Her survivors include her three sons; John, Gary and Paul Boyd and his wife Kim, all of Amarillo; 3 grandchildren, David, Sierra and J.J. Nichols of Amarillo; brother, John T. Hickerson of Belton, TX and her sister, June Burton of Temple, TX.
