Bernie was born on January 4, 1939 in Pampa to B.A. and Wilma Derryberry. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. His life and legacy will be remembered by the love of his family and a very long list of good friends. Always having a smile on his face and a few good stories to tell, no one left him without a smile on their face and a sense of being cared for. Bernie was a hard working man since the age of sixteen and never turned down a job or turned away anyone that needed help. In his life, he was known as a son, brother, uncle, Daddy and Pappaw and a good ole boy. He will be missed but if you were lucky enough to know him, you know he will never be forgotten.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Copen.

He is survived by his children; two daughters, Sharon Murdock and husband John and Sunday Webster and husband Jody; his three sons, Bernie Derryberry III, Tommy Van Camp and Paul Campbell; a brother, Scott "EA" Davey and wife Beverly and two sisters, Nita Anderson and Margaret Bishop; eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

The family will be receiving friends from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel.
