Benjamin Pressley

Benjamin Pressley, 89, of Houston, former Amarillo resident, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 20, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday February 27, 2019 in LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel. Burial will follow with military honors in Llano Cemetery East. Arrangements are under the personal care of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.

Mr. Benjamin Pressley was born in Anderson South Carolina on May 1, 1929. He was the son of Lucius Pressley, Sr. and Icaphinner Pressley.

His parents and three sisters preceded him in death. His brother Lucius Pressley Jr. currently lives in Anchorage Alaska.

He joined the US Army in 1948 and reenlisted into the US Air Force after his tour in Korea War. He continued working for the Government in Civilian Service until his retirement in 1985. While in the Air Force and stationed in Amarillo Texas he met and married his wife of 46 years Hysvon Pressley who preceded him in death. They raised four children, Dwight Sanders, Bernarvy Beverly PhD., Curtis Pressley and Venissa Washington all residing in Houston Texas. He leaves loving memories 13 Grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren whom he enjoyed immensely during holidays, birthdays and other family celebrations.
