Benjamin Caballero

Benjamin Perez Caballero, 88, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on March 3, 2024. He was born on February 24, 1936, in Coy City, Texas. Ben, as he was affectionately known, retired from the City of Amarillo's Street Department after a fulfilling career.

In his free time, Ben enjoyed welding and fishing. He was a skilled craftsman and found joy in creating with his hands.

Benjamin Caballero is survived by his children Dianna Scott, Benjamin Caballero, Jr., Cynthia Urbina, and Kathy Wood. He is preceded in death by his father Pablo Caballero, mother Maria Perez Caballero, sister Flora Medina, brother Gilbert Caballero, sister Dianna Monsavais, wife Juanita Rios Caballero, and daughter Sylvia Ann Caballero.

A dedicated worker, a loving father and grandfather, and a skilled craftsman, Benjamin Caballero will be dearly missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace
