Beau Bradford Neese

September 23, 1978 — May 27, 2017

Beau B. Neese
Born: September 23, 1978
“Life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.” Kahlil Gibran

The strapping, handsome, blue-eyed, blonde haired 38 year old Beau Bradford Neese died May 27, 2017 in Amarillo, Texas, releasing him from the grip of that which medicine cannot cure. He was born to Don R. and Paula J. Neese, the second of three boys, Ryan D., the elder, and Joe Bair, the younger. At his death, Beau was living in Tucumcari with his caring friend and companion, Heather Barber Massey.
Beau grew up in Tucumcari with a passle of family and friends who shall not soon forget his endearing, bright, enchanting smile and easy laugh so contagious it cheered even the most grumpy; his always lively, light-hearted, magnetic charm that drew so many into his orbit; his thoughtful calls to wish all the mothers in his large extended family a Happy Mother’s Day; his warm, tender and most generous heart always with his hands outstretched to help those in need or to make someone’s day better. Beau listened with his heart. Beau’s generosity and beauty of spirit extended, even in death, to giving a second chance to others whose names he shall never know. Beau gave to others as easily and freely as lilacs breath their fragrance to freshen a spring day.
Beau, just as his hero John Wayne, lived life large. He roamed the back roads in his big truck, cap and sunglasses. He worked with cattle and horses at feedlots and helping his Aunt “Somy” Foote with her growing cattle herd near Quay, NM. Beau early learned to love animals and the open range from his ranching grandmother, Ann Buck Trigg and his step-grandfather, Papa Steve (Trigg). Beau loved the great outdoors and the tobacco-chewing cowboy life, sampling even before he could walk, the remanants of Papa Steve’s tobacco spit can (sending the whole household into a frightful tizzy). Beau camped out, skied at Conchas Lake, fished whenever he found some water and the time, loved flying with his grandfather Leonard V. Vourazeris, golfed competitively in high school, gave the B&SF Railroad a hardy, robust 15 years in the footsteps of his brother, uncle and Buck ancestors. Beau was a member of the Elks Lodge 1172 in Tucumcari.
Beau’s memory shall long remain with his nieces and nephews, Mariah, Riley, Caden and Brady and sister-in-law, Leaja of Amarillo, his grandfather Leonard Vourazeris of Tucumcari, and Delos and Mary Helen Mundell Neese, deceased and grandmother Ann Buck Trigg, deceased; his uncle Dale and wife Margaret Neese of Albuquerque, and their daughter Dana Anne Terry, of San Antonio, Texas; uncles, Chris Vuras of Florida and his daughter Saige, Mike Vourazeris and his wife, Dawn, and their children Jacob and Melissa Suman, all of Phoenix, and his cousins John and Joshua Vuras, whose whereabouts vary month to month.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Dunn’s Funeral Home, Tucumcari, NM on Saturday. April 3, 2017. Interment will be at the family plot at the Tucumcari Cemetery. Lunch at the Elk’s Club will follow.
