Beatrice Dutton Johnston, 90, of Amarillo died on Wednesday, December 24, 2014. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, December 29, 2014 at Northside United Pentecostal Church with Pastor Rodger Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.
Beatrice Dutton Johnston was born on April 14, 1924 in Whitesboro, TX to Roy and Mary Dutton. She married Murphy Johnston on January 18, 1942 in Clovis, NM and worked in clothing sales at Dunlaps Department store. Bea was a very prominent member of Northside Untied Pentecostal Church where she could always be found at the morning prayer meetings and Wednesday and Sunday church services. She was a very detailed lady and collected all kind of angels and Heaven got a new angel. Bea loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Murphy; a son, Phillip; a grandson, Douglas and a great great-grandson Charles.
She is survived by two sons, Jerry Johnston and Doug Johnston and wife Donna, both of Amarillo; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends from 3:00 - 5:00 pm, Sunday, December 28, 2014 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road.
