Baldemar O. Jimenez, 68, of Amarillo died on Wednesday, June 8, 2016. Rosary will be held at 6:00 pm, Thursday, June 9, 2016 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Deacon Andy Gonzalez officiating. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am Friday, June 10, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jose Gomez as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S Coulter Street.
Baldemar was born on July 6, 1947 in Mertzon, Texas to Hinijo and Rosa Jimenez. He married Luisa Ortiz on September 15, 1968 in O'Donnell, Texas. Baldemar worked as a journeyman upholsterer. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He was an musician lead vocalist of Oro Tejano Band out of Littlefield, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Alfonso Delgado and Albert Jimenez.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Luisa Jimenez; his children, Jimmy Jimenez, Joe Jimenez, both of Anton, Texas, Jennifer Bergara and Janessa Jimenez, both of Amarillo, Texas; six grandsons, Jonathon Jimenez, Anthony Salinas, Sebastian Gutierrez, Joshua Salinas, Isaiah Gutierrez, and Joey Jimenez; four granddaughters, Ashley Price, Mariah Jimenez, Savannah Jimenez, and Jazmynn Bergara; two brothers, Luis Vargas, and Ernesto Jimenez; four sisters, Mary Cortez, Paulina Cardinas, Frances Carrasco, and Ernestina Ramos;
