Ashley Nicole Smith, a cherished member of the community, passed away in Amarillo, Texas, leaving behind a legacy that will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Born on September 21, 1991, in Amarillo, Ashley's vibrant spirit and unwavering love for animals shaped her into the compassionate individual that so many admired.
Throughout her life, Ashley dedicated herself to caring for animals as the proud owner of Adobe Pet Cemetery, where she provided solace and comfort to both pets and their owners during times of grief and loss. Her passion for animals extended beyond her professional life, as she found immense joy in the company of her beloved cats Oliver and Tigger.
Ashley's interests were as diverse as they were heartfelt; from crocheting to cross-stitching, reading to singing, she embraced each hobby with enthusiasm and creativity. Her gentle soul and warm smile touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In her passing, Ashley is reunited with her grandparents Jane and Leon St. John, Evelyn Balay, and her beloved cat Krennic. She is survived by her grieving father Louis, mother Janey Smith, sister Amanda Smith-Andoe (and Lee), whom Ashley held dear like a brother. She also leaves behind favorite aunts Mollie St. John, Pam Arganbright (Glen), as well as numerous friends and relatives who will forever cherish her memory.
A memorial service to honor Ashley's life will be held on March 29, 2024, at Lagrone Blackburn Funeral Home (Coulter Chapel) in Amarillo, Texas. The service will be a reflection of the love and light that Ashley brought into the world during her time with us.
