Arnold Bryan Bassett

Arnold Bryan Bassett, 58, of Amarillo passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 18, 2020 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Darren Bryan and Esther Wahlin officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. A viewing will be from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 18, 2020 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Home.

Arnold was born on August 9, 1961 in Canyon to Bruce and Edna Bassett. He graduated from Happy High School and married Susan Allen on November 12, 1982 in Amarillo. Arnold owned and operated Bassett Masonry for over thirty years. After retiring from the masonry business, Arnold went to work in the maintenance department for Bushland Independent School District. He was a craftsman and was always working and building on projects. Arnold also enjoyed woodworking. Arnold loved his family and children with all of his heart. Arnold accepted the Lord into his life, served whole heartedly and finished faithfully.

He is survived by his wife, Susan; two daughters, Aimee Bassett and Shaina Francis and husband Michael; one son, Chandler Bassett; two sisters, Shereen Davis and husband Edwin and Sheri Friemel; one brother, Teddy Basset and wife Peggy; his parents, Bruce Bassett and wife Edna and his in-law's, Larry Allen and wife Linda.
