Armando Cardenas, 66, of Amarillo passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019. Memorial services will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, July 12, 2019 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel with Dr. G.A. Roach officiating.

Armando was born on January 25, 1953 in Floresville, TX to Simon and Elvira Cardenas. He met the love of his life, Mary Ann Sandoval in 1988 and they have spent thirty one wonderful years together. Armando was a correctional officer for ten years. He loved watching wrestling and was a fan of Jon Cena, Bautista and Randy Orton. Armando loved to ride his bike and was a huge cowboy fan to the point that he even watched reruns of their games. He loved spending time with his family especially his granddaughters and great granddaughter and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Gavino Cardenas and Simon Cardenas Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; two sons, Christopher Cardenas and wife Brianne and Joe Simon Cardenas and wife Aleshia; a step son, Mike Sandoval and wife Nicole; five granddaughters, Elexus Sandoval, Micah Sandoval, Lily Cardenas, Jasmine Cardenas and Carine Cardenas; one great granddaughter, Ezyriah Sandoval; two sisters, Dora Ramos and Elvira Villa and husband Louis; one brother, Rey Cardenas and wife Pam and numerous other relatives and friends.
