Ardella Boyer

Ardella Richardson Boyer was born in Red River County, Texas on March 22, 1922 to Booker T. & Willie Alvis Burks-Richardson. She moved to Amarillo in 1942. She made a peaceful transition from her earthly home to live eternally with God on March 7, 2014.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2014 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter Road, Amarillo, TX with Rev. Vernon Connor officiating. Burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors.
She was a long time member of New Hope Baptist Church in Amarillo before joining North Heights Church of Christ. Mrs. Boyer was preceded in death by her devoted husband the late Mr. John Berry Boyer.
Mrs. Ardella Boyer leaves to cherish her memories, one sister, Mrs. Velaster Gaffney of Paris, TX; nine daughters, Lynn Frances Marie Harvey and husband Frank of Los Angeles, CA, Joyce LeDeene Pearson and husband Andre of Minneapolis, MN, Janet Celestine Hughes and husband Howard of Cincinnati, OH, Louise Williams of Las Vegas, NV, Kaysee (Ethel Mae) Smalley and husband Eric Joel of New Hope, MN, Julia Ann Gindratt of San Antonio, Claudett Lott and husband Kenneth of St. Paul, MN, Bertha Renee (BJ) Robinson and husband Craig of Amarillo and Roberta (Sissy) Mays and husband Hanif of Amarillo and her son, Allen Luegene Reed and Dee Dee of Amarillo . She is also survived by 26 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and a host of other loving nieces and nephews and many close friends.
