Antonio R. Michel, 82, of Amarillo passed away on Monday, November 27, 2016. The rosary will be said at 6:00 pm on Thursday, November 30, 2017 in LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 1, 2017 in LaGroneBlackburnShaw Coulter Road Chapel. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery East. Arrangements are under the personal care of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter Road.
Antonio was born on May 10, 1935 in Mexico. He grew up in Mexico before moving to Amarillo in the early 70's. He married Gregoria Martinez on May 7, 1983 in Amarillo. Tony worked for ASARCO for 20 years until his retirement. He enjoyed playing music and singing with a group of his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and a nephew.
Tony is survived by his wife Gregoria Michel; step children, Rita Sandoval, Ruben Martinez, Grace Flatt, Ben Martinez, Janet Noto, Vince Martinez and Tommy Martinez; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
