Alvie was born May 21, 1967, in Amarillo, to Alvie Lee and Doris Marie (Lucas) Gibbs. He was a truck driver by trade. Alvie loved the Fourth of July, fishing and the Dallas Cowboys. However, more than anything, he loved his family. He was a wonderful son, brother and uncle. He loved his nieces and nephews as if they were his own. Alvie was a very caring, selfless and loving man. He lived a hard life, but if anyone was ever in need, he would be the first to make sure they had what they needed. No matter how much or how little he had, he would gladly give anything to anyone. Even in his last moments, his main concern was knowing that his family would be taken care of after he was no longer around to do so. Alvie had a heart of gold and he will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alvie Lee Gibbs; his grandparents; his Aunt Francis Lamon; Uncle Edward Walker and brother-in-law, Grady Williams.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Doris Gibbs; his fiancé, Christina Gibbs; his sisters, Margaret Gibbs and Ann Ackroyd and husband Steven; his brother Clarence Gibbs and wife Lana, all of Amarillo and a host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
