He was proud to be a member of the American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, joining in 1977.

Allan was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his sister, Jeanne Neel, and husband Kimble of Phoenix, AZ, and his “adopted family” consisting of his “brother” and lifelong friend Greg Sagan, his “sister-in-law” Dianne G. Sagan, and their children, Bryan Sagan, Natasha Sagan, and Michelle Pamplin of Amarillo, Benjamin Sagan of Los Angeles, CA, Bradley Chappel of Telluride, CO, and Elizabeth Dixon of Denton, TX, all of whom lost their “Uncle Allan.”

The family suggests memorials in lieu of flowers be offered to the State of Texas Kidney Foundation P. O. Box 592180 San Antonio, Texas 78259.

Condolences can be offered at the service.
