Alice Christeen Patterson

Alice Christeen Patterson of Amarillo, Texas, traded her earthly treasures for heavenly ones on Wednesday, December 11th, 2024, at her home with her family by her side. Born on August 10th, 1926, in Cumby, Texas to Robert Potterfield Owen and Charlotte Rainwater Owen. She had 2 brothers, Odis and R.C. and 4 sisters Odell, Estell, Joe, and Dot. They grew up on a cotton farm in Cumby, TX. Alice was always family-oriented and was very proud of her brothers and sisters. They always enjoyed family reunions in Childress, Texas, and at various lakes.

On July 18th, 1943, Alice married her one true love, JT Patterson. They were married for 49 years. Alice and JT lived on a farm where they raised their 3 sons Bruce, Danny, and Larry Patterson. In 1963, Alice obtained her manicurist license, and they moved to Childress, TX. In 1969 Alice and JT decided to move to Amarillo. A few years later, in 1974, they found their forever home on Aster Street. Alice was a strong woman who enjoyed caring for others. Alice always wanted to feed you when you walked in the door. Alice had many hobbies including painting, singing, camping, fishing, and spending time with her family. Alice painted some of the most beautiful pieces including flowers, trees, and the countryside. Singing with her sisters was one of her favorite past times.

 Alice was deeply loved by all and she loved everyone. She had strong faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Alice was a faithful member of Comanche Trail Church of Christ for over 30 years and became an elder in her community. 

Alice always wanted the family together for holidays and birthdays. She enjoyed car rides, ice cream runs, sightseeing, bingo, and trips with her grandchildren. 

 Alice is preceded in death by her loving husband JT Patterson, son Larry Patterson, her mother, father, and all her brothers and sisters. Alice is survived by her sons, Bruce and Danny Patterson; as well as numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. We will miss her so very much. Love you Grandma!!
