Alberto Luciano Sena



Alberto Sena, 88, of Amarillo passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018. Rosary will be said at 6:30 pm, Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Gomez as Celebrant. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter.

Alberto was born on September 4, 1929 to Luciano and Rosanna Sena in Santa Rosa, NM. He married Ernestina Ortega on June 5, 1948 in Amarillo. Alberto and Ernestina were life long residents of Amarillo and life long members of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Alberto was a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus and worked for Kitter Corporation until his retirement.

Alberto was preceded in death by his wife of fifty five years, Ernestina Sena; his parents; four sisters, Sadie Martinez, Frances Gutierrez, Mary Gomez, and Pearl Durnan; a brother, Nestor Sena; a Great Grandson, Joseph Hernandez and a Great Great Grandson, Lazarus Ramirez.

Alberto is survived by three daughters, Mary Jane Nelson, Judy Andrews and husband Jerry and Esther Martinez and husband Alvin; one son Danny Sena and wife Mary all of Amarillo; two sisters, Rosa Ortgea of Albuquerque and Della Gonzalez of Amarillo; ten grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.
