Linda Diane (Jordan) Nichols

Linda Diane Nichols, 65, of Canyon passed on from this life on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. Linda was born September 27, 1956 in Guymon, Oklahoma to Charles W. Jordan and Mary Allyne Jordan (Buckner).

Linda grew up in Kansas, and the Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles. She adored her parents, two brothers, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews and loved upholding family traditions, including silly string fights at Christmas. The Jordan family built a legacy of love that lives on in the hearts of us all.

Linda graduated from West Texas State in 1979 with a degree in education. She spent her entire 37 year career at Canyon ISD. She is best known for her ‘eagle-ball Fridays’, half-time parachute and plate routines, and Jump Rope for Heart fundraising. Throughout her tenure, co-workers became her closest friends, and she cherished her students and their lifelong accomplishments.

Linda loved her children, grandchildren (“the littles”), her community, traveling and sharing life with her dearest friend, Jennifer Berg, who is forever now our family member.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Stephen Jordan.

Those left to carry on her memory are her brother Don Jordan (Donna) of Alva Oklahoma, Sister-in-law Sheri Jordan, her son, David Nichols (Jamie) of Amarillo, her daughter, Bethany Nichols of Dallas, and her son Mark Nichols (Saige) of Ft. Worth, her beloved nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Brad, Mike, Matt, and Wade, and her 6 grandchildren, Zakaree Brooks, Brooklyn Nichols, Brynlee Nichols, Sylas Warren, Charles J. Nichols, and soon to arrive grandson, Chase.

Visitation will be from 2pm - 4pm Sunday, May 1st at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Chapel,  Services are scheduled for  2:00pm Monday, May 2, 2022 at PathPoint Fellowship Church. Burial to follow at Dreamland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, all donations received through the go-fund-me will be used to continue the blessings of her legacy.
